Jim French first considered a career in Home Inspection after recently purchasing a home. While watching the home inspection process, he saw first hand how interesting and worthwhile a profession it was. This passion, in combination with his previous experience and eye for detail, led Jim down the path to becoming a Home Inspection Professional.
After researching the numerous programs available, Jim enrolled in complete distance education training course developed by one of the most respected names in professional home inspection and training, Carson Dunlop. This course boasts the integration of a generation's worth of experience into a state-of-the-art training program.
Jim earned his designation efficiently, and quickly gained access to the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors (BC), a self-regulating association of professional home and property inspectors, representing all regions of British Columbia. At this time, Jim also secured the proper insurance required to operate his business.
To ensure he remains on the top of his game, Jim further invested in cutting-edge technology to make the inspection reporting process easier and more convenient for his clients. Through Carson Dunlop’s Horizon program, Jim and his customers can rely on a web-based service accessed through a hand-held device, allowing for enhanced communication between Jim and his customers.
Today, Jim is a successful Home Inspection Professional, and owner/operator of The Inspector – Professional Home Inspections. He is an Associate Member of CAHPI (BC) and subscribes to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as stipulated by the core values of CAHPI (BC).
